As Team Brookline Boston Marathon Team Manager (2013-2016) I led all aspects of team operations, ensuring a seamless and inspiring experience for runners, charity partners, sponsors, volunteers, and the broader community. This role focuses on relationship-building, strategic partnership engagement, and community activation to maximize impact and fundraising success.
Community engagement was at the heart of my work. I led the recruitment, onboarding, and support of charity and invitational runners, serving as their primary point of contact for training resources, fundraising assistance, and event logistics. I fostered team camaraderie by organizing meetings, training runs, and morale-boosting activities. I also managed relationships with charity partners and sponsors, ensuring alignment with fundraising goals while securing financial and in-kind support through brand partnerships and event activations. Additionally, I oversaw volunteer recruitment, training, and coordination, ensuring clear communication of roles and recognizing contributions.
In this role, I was (and remain) passionate about uniting athletes, sponsors, and the broader community to drive engagement, enhance fundraising efforts, and create a meaningful marathon experience for all involved.
